What started as a Facebook group has grown into one of the driving forces behind our vision. Today, it has become the foundation of IonDJs Recruitment, Events Management and IonDJs Media, bringing together thousands of people who share the same passion for electronic music.
The strength of our community has always been teamwork. DJs, producers, event managers, promoters, photographers, venue owners, content creators and dedicated ravers have all played a part in helping IonDJs grow. Every conversation, recommendation, shared event and new connection has helped us take another step forward.

The direction we're taking has been shaped by years of experience and the insights we've gathered from publishing 98 blogs over two years, 4 years ago, exploring the EDM and rave scene. 1988-1991 - The First Beat
Like thousands of young people across the UK, it all started with a dance floor. The music was different. The atmosphere was different. Every weekend became another adventure, another memory and another reason to believe we had found somewhere we truly belonged. Rave wasn't just about dancing. It was about freedom, friendship and discovering a community that welcomed everyone.
1994 - The Friends We Made
By the mid-90s, the music had become part of everyday life. New friendships were formed across the country, road trips became the norm, and every club, warehouse and festival created memories that would last forever. Many of the people met during those years are still friends today, proving that rave culture was always about much more than music.
1997 - Chasing The Dream
For many ravers, the next step was obvious... becoming a DJ.
Hours were spent learning to mix, buying vinyl, practising in bedrooms and dreaming about one day standing behind the decks in front of a packed crowd. Not everyone became famous, but everyone shared the same dream.
2005- When Reality Arrived
Life changes.
Careers, families, mortgages and responsibilities meant music often had to take a back seat. Many talented DJs stepped away from the scene, not because they lost their passion, but because life demanded something different.
The dream never disappeared—it simply waited.
2015 - Never Forgotten
Although many people were no longer playing every weekend, the music remained part of who they were.
They still followed the scene, collected music, visited events and remembered what those early years had given them.
Once rave is in your heart, it rarely leaves.
2026 - The Journey Begins Again
Today, a new generation is mixing alongside those who have lived the story from the very beginning.
At IonDJs, we believe experience matters. We believe every DJ deserves opportunities, every promoter deserves reliable talent, and every event deserves people who genuinely care about the music.
